Last marathon for this year.
Guess I have to be satisfied with this one.
Finished in 4 hours 44 minutes. Placed myself in 3rd place. Won a trophy & some cash prizes ❤️
I will come back even stronger. I know I will 💪💪💪.
Aleesya still on off demam.
First time dia demam agak lama dari biasa. 5 hari dah. Risau pula nak bawa pergi cuti2.
Pagi ni baru dia ada selera nak makan. Tapi memilih sikit bab makan. Selalu tu, semua dia makan.
Luckily mommy cuti. Boleh kosentret kat doa sorang.
Cepat baik ya Cantik. Rindu keletah awak.
Finally yesterday, I went for an overdue minor surgery to removed my wisdom teeth.
It cost me a total of one thousand ringgit for that one single teeth. Btw it only cost RM50 at gov hospital. But I liked the private clinic better. Coz they have cute doctors and gentle nurses. Haha.. no lah. Im just scared of needdles. Need a very caring doctor to attend my mengada2 attitude.
And luckily yesterday, that doctor really cute and sooo caring. Mamfus kalau wife dia tau.. haha. Its just a one time "date". Im soo not gonna repeat it. Date guna scalpel.. ngeri. And syukur, tak sakit langsung. Tenkiuuu doctor!
Was suposed to get rid of my wisdom teeth a month ago. But when the dentist said I cannot run and have to rest for at least a week after the operation, I just couldnt accept that. and decided to postponed it till after I finished my Klang marathon.
Guess that is not a wise decision. As the pain also affected my training (tho it only sakit after the run. Not during the run). But its bearable.
But then, when Aleesya down with high fever 2 days before race day, I already knew my body had too much. I got aches all over my upper body coz I only slept on one side two nights in a row as I breastfed Aleesya.
Almost want to DNS. But I proceed to the hotel (since already paid for it). And the hospital is just few minutes from our hotel, in case if Aleesya's tempreture reaches more than 39°c.
It was Mamoru who persuaded and convinced me to run. So I ran But I knew I wont be making any PB.
I jogged to starting poing which is 5 mins from our hotel. Met few drunkers outside the hotel. Scared the hell out of me.
Met Ezam before flag off. We discussed about the lack of safety barrier/reflective cons for road/lane closures. I havent seen any along the marathon route. But Ezam said, maybe the organizer waited until the official timing for road closure to line up the cones.
Never thought that our concern about this issue became real when 3 runners gothit by a car during the race. And one of them still in coma. What a tragedy.
The first 10km of the race route was good. Both highway was closed. I ran in the middle of the road without having to worry about cars or anything. Police traffice are everywhere. Lotsa of them. RELA too. Im impressed.
Its just that there is no volunteers along the route. Volunteers was only placed at the water stations. That became a problem when there was no arrow signage pointing to where to go at every junction. The police and RELA was just taking care of traffic. I have to asked the RELA/Police few times which way to go.
And the route after 10km, we have to share it with the motorist. Which I didnt feels safe anymore. It always like this tau. Most of the running events I joined, almost all organizer take safety lightly. Especially for FM runners. Its hard to concerntrate on your running when at the same time you have to be alert of speedy cars or racing motrcyclist. Can we blame those drivers for driving so fast? Btw, how fast is fast. If we being hit at 60km per hour also can cause severe injury.
Besides, its in the middle of the night. Those drivers perhaps didnt expect bunch of people would be running at that hours. No road closure.
Im just glad I finished the race in one piece. Injury free and still can dance my way to the podium for the award presentation.
I got 3rd place under my category with my worst timing for this year at 4:44. Didnt feel good at all to share the winning news in here as I didnt break any PB. Feels bad to take the credit (but the cash prize I take lah 😋).
Anyway, wish all 3 runners speedy recovery. Especially Evelyn (a blogger too) who is still unconcious. Poor her husband and kids. Nobody would want anything like this to happen.
Dont feel like updating anything about KCIM 2017 though I won 3rd place in my category for a 42km marathon. At least, not now, because,
First, I didnt get any PB -suprisingly I made it to the podium.
Second, a friend, sub-6 hours pacer still in a coma after being hit by a car during the run.
Third, most runners, papers, publics keep pointing fingers blaming the organiser, driver, etc.
For me its just a matter of time. For all the mushroom organizers who seen marathons as a profitable business to pay a 100% focus on safety.
Im not just talking about KCIM. This is for ALL organizers. I ran so many races & events. 90% of this races/events I didnt feels safe at all. So, please,
If you cant get a full road closure then change your date.
If you cant change your date then change your route.
If you cant do any of this, then dont ever think of organizing any race.
Its a road race, for heaven's sake. Close the road.
As simple as that.
1 day left.
Need to sleep early tonight. Need to get enough sleep coz Ive been staying up last night siapkan report.
I didnt think much about the race. Im more excited thinking about my cuti2 with kiddos after the race 😄😄😄
Cant wait to do so many adventurous thinga with them ❤️❤️
Mood went haywire. Been very emotional this few days. Blame it to the PMS.
The marathon pressure is so real now.
2 days left.
This time, this run, this race, all the way 42km, I will do it for my kids, for time Ive taken from them & for Mamoru, for his sacrifice, support and love.
Thank you for always be with me through hurts, tears, weakness and turn all that to strenght, laughter & happiness!
Throwback photos from Putrajaya Night Marathon. My supporters patiently waited for me at the finishing. Love them so much! All of them!
Alhamdulilah. Cuti da approved.
InsyaAllah, lepas habis Klang marathon nanti, nak bawa kiddos pi cuti2. Kali ni cuti2 takde kaitan dengan marathon.. hihi. Nak fully konsetret kat family tersayang ❤️❤️
Ta zabarrr nyaaa 🏖️🏖️🏖️
Gambar throwback cuti2 ke Ganu aritu masa join Terengganu marathon:
Went for an easy run last night. I keep the mileage low & slow.
I have one last fartlek session tonight before off days (till race day). Cant wait to get it done.
Cant wait to rest jugak 😊😊
Alhamdullilah all muscles stress, soreness, tightness, etc are almost gone. Felt light and relax. I ❤️ taper week. 😍😍
4 days left before race day.
Physically, I think Im ready. Mentally? Still work on it.. ✌️
Last training week. 12 weeks in total.
5 days to go.
Trying to gain more weight since last week. Current weight is 38kg. Hope can gain few more kilos. Or at least more than 40kg before race day.
Need more fat to burn during the race 😌😌
Been making myself busy this week (next week too). As a distraction from thinking about my upcoming race (6 days left).
Been reducing my running mileage too. No more double session. No more long run. More rest.
Coach Edan jokingly said, "Remember taper weeks. Jangan lari 100km pulak this week".
Received so many good news from SAC members who ran Singapore Standard Chartered, Angkor Watt & other marathons this weekend. All got their PBs. Wow.. so happy for them. At the same time, I felt a little pressure here. Next weekend will my turn 😌😌
Anyway, I had so much fun this morning at Bukit Jalil. Fun run with the family.
Ariff been wanting to run since few months ago. He really envy me everytime I run or win my races. He wanted to run and win his own trophy (not just finisher medal). He got big dream there. Mommy will help you achive your dreams sayang, insyaAllah ❤️❤️
But today event is just fun run. No prizes or running category for kids. He did well tho. Only Amarr slowed him down as Mamoru have to ran with Amarr and didnt allowed him to run alone.
Me? Enjoyed my turtle pace with Aleesya.. haha. Kami tinggal jauh kat belakang. I let her walked by herself. But after 700meters, she slowed down. But still not giving up tho. I carried her in my arms, anyway. Kesian.. hihi. But once in a while I let her walk on her own. Tapi balik rumah.. fingsan.. lena sunggung dia tidur ❤️❤️
Start tappering today.
12 days to Klang marathon.
Done my last long run for Klang marathon, malam tadi. Legs felt super heavy. Have to slow down but I refused to stop. Even it was raining a bit. And Im so glad I didnt.
Haish. Drama. Long run is always the hardest part especially when I have to run alone. Managed to saved more mileage in the bank. Kaching 💰💰💰💰. I hope I have enough "money" to spend for the big day. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
14 days left for Klang marathon.
Going back to Melaka this weekend. Maybe after Ive done my long run tonight.
My Mamoru pulak will be going to Penang for his favourite PBIM marathon. All the best tau. Enjoy the runcation and dont forget to buy jeruk cermai Pak Ali for your pweettyy wife ni..nyumms 🤤😍
3 days in a row I did the double running session - non stop. Legs felt tired. Right now I wanted so bad for the training to be over, but everytime I finished my am or pm session, I want to run some more. Pelik.
Last night coach Edan summarized our training for the past 7 weeks. He even printed our individual TSS chart explaning about our fitness level, fatigue & form data. I love looking at my chart. Everything looks good.
Right now my form shown negative -34. But thats ok. Im still in my training weeks and build periods. Once I start tapering nanti, my fatigue will decrease lower than my fitness and results in positive form. That is when my body ready for the race.
Though its still too early to say this, I still want to thank coach Edan & Smart Atheletic Club! I learned so much from you. The best coach ever & the coolest running club in Malaysia! So proud to be one of SAC team. I bet SAC is the only club who provide data analysis for each of its members compared to other running club.
16 days left before Klang marathon. Im super nervous. I wanted so bad to break sub 4 hours as a gift for my hard work. But looking back at the very short training weeks, its tough. I will try my best tho 💪💪💪
